Uchuu Sentai NOIZ – “Thank you for the MUSIC”

Posted on: 2009/07/02

Lyrics and Music: Masato

English:

Wow Wow Sunnydays
Wow Wow Sunnydays
3, 2, 1, Go!

Why is walking with our heads down popular around here?
Somehow we can’t come to like it
We kick around the cloudy days

Wow Wow Sunnydays
Wow Wow Sunnydays
Wow Wow Happydays
Wow Wow Thank you for the MUSIC

We walked with heads held high
We were able to laugh a lot today
I pray we can spend tomorrow laughing too

We fall asleep Wow Wow Sunnydays
Hold hands Wow Wow Sunnydays
Let’s not separate Wow Wow Happydays
Our world Wow Wow Thank you for the MUSIC
The miracle we encountered

We protect our assumed profession
The current pattern of searching for dreams
Because we’re all on the same side
We protect the profession we keep dreaming of

A challenge is necessary from the mind’s aspect
If you’re unreasonably stubborn, today we seem to feel it
A subject is necessary, quotes are NO
Somewhat half-formed thoughts

It’s everyone’s purpose, protect the profession
The current pattern of searching for dreams
We’re all on the side of magnificence
We protect the profession we keep dreaming of

Hold hands Wow Wow Sunnydays
Hold hands Wow Wow Sunnydays
Let’s not separate Wow Wow Happydays
Our world Wow Wow Thank you for the MUSIC
The miracle we encountered

Our burdens were too many
So serious things got abandoned
Hey, look! Don’t give up yet
We still have things we can do…

They’re not much, but

For your sake, for our sake,
we sing songs, we sing songs
Hold hands, hold hands
Let’s not part
Our world, our world
Thank you for the MUSIC

Romaji:

This is a cute song (What would I do without you? All of this discography is overwhelming @_@) Perky, upbeat. I’m a little surprised to see that this is a Masato-kun song, but I’m guessing this is early on? (Obviously I have no idea what I’m talking about, I’m the newb fan here XD)

EGO-style was their third full-length album and came out in 2005, so it’s right in the middle of their career. I haven’t translated everything yet of course, but from what I have seen so far, Masato-san has brief periods where he doesn’t write such morbid, intense songs. Angel-Taka never takes breaks from being pervy, though. (I’m still debating whether to post my translation of “Sentimental Dropkick,” it’s poignantly PG-13; my friends and I blush and stop halfway through every time we try to sing it at karaoke.)

PS – I’m almost done with “Brand New World” but it’s turning out to be tough, I don’t know how good it will be.

Well, that makes sense. We want our Masato-kun mentally and emotionally healthy XD (Oh, by the way, I noticed you used “-san.” For the record, I do realize I should be using it, too, or at the very least “-nii,” since they’re older than me, but I thought it was cuter and it stuck XD;; Oh, goodness, that’s going to get me in trouble…)

I was going to ask about that one, but I was too embarassed! XD I remember watching the PV for the first time, and being like, “D8< ANGEL-TAKAAAA! WTH?!" …although he is somewhat adorable in the video, all innuendo and such aside.

Ah! Yay! ❤ That's my favorite song (purely for fangirl reasons) along with "Mr. Adventure." Ha ha, looks like they caught on to you, and are making things hard! Who is it by?

It isn’t SO bad to call him Masato-kun. Fans in Japan sometimes call him Ma-bou, and he introduced himself that way at an event I went to. For the longest time I didn’t know what it meant but it turns out -bou is another way of saying -kun. Though I think to his face it would be much better to say Masato-san.

And of course, “Brand New World” was written by Masato. Him and his 5-kanji long words, he will be the death of me! “Mr. Adventure” is by Angel-Taka though and the lyrics look amazingly fun at first glance, I can’t wait to get to it.

Ah, okay, good. Of course, to his face… I’d practicallyt say “-sama” at this point! XD

Ma-bou~! ❤ Omigosh, he's officially my second favorite, with these amazing lyrics and cute name! (Oh, crap, I just remembered I referred to Kotaro-chan as "-chan" indirectly in his presence… Oh, well. It's love, I guess XD;;;)

Ha ha, I would have guessed. One sounds emotional and complicated, and deep, and the other… sounds like it might give you diabetes by listening to it. Ha ha, I love this band more and more.

i heard an english version of this. do you also have lyrics?
